This hair type will get dryer after a longer time frame, but this curl type requires deep, yet lighter-weight moisturizing than most other curly hair textures. It is more likely to stay hydrated longer than more naturally drier textures. Heavier hair care products will build up on this hair type and cause it to become limp and/or not hold a curl for long. Loose Curl Textures often have "high porosity" hair, which means their hair gets wet quickly and easily when applying a liquid moisture to it. It also is able to become moisturized very quickly, but doesn't necessarily retain this moisture for more than a day or so at a time. This curl type should go light on oils, to prevent curls from becoming greasy or weighed down.
